As all of you should know Australian Canoeing has a “Code of Behaviour”; some of you may even have read it.
Disappointingly not everyone is practicing it.
Everyone who attends our events, whether they be paddlers, organizers, volunteers, spectators, etc. needs to treat others at the event with respect.
Abusing volunteers is not appropriate behaviour. This happened after the race yesterday. We don’t want that to happen again.
If you disagree with a decision of the organizers then by all means raise your concern, with them or the Marathon Committee, but do this politely.
If you haven’t read the Code of Behaviour it can be summarized very simply: display respect and courtesy towards everyone involved in our sport.
If you want to read the whole policy you can at http://canoe.org.au/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/Code-of-Behaviour-Policy-160620.pdf
