Safety Guidelines to Reduce Sports Related Injury in Children and Young People

Sports Medicine Australia has released guidelines to support the safe participation of young people and children in sport. The guide has been created to try and increase knowledge of safe physical activity and reduce sports-related injuries.

The guidelines are relevant to administrators, schools, teachers, coaches, parents, officials and participants. If your involvement in canoeing requires working with children, check out the Safety Guidelines for Children and other resources through the Smartplay website – the document is also available to access directly by clicking here.
