Canoeing Victoria is committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for youths participating and involved in paddling at all levels within the sport. As such, a plan has been developed to ensure that all aspects of the organization include safeguards to protect our youth, particularly policies and risk management.
Canoeing Victoria is looking for a volunteer to act as the Project Officer to implement this initiative. The role will involve the review, development and update of existing policies and risk management plans in accordance with the defined Safeguarding Children Action Plan.
Work undertaken by the Project Officer will be conducted in the office of Canoeing Victoria as part of the CV admin team, provided with appropriate technology and supervised by the Executive Officer. A valid Working With Children Check will be required as well as the undertaking to complete the Play By The Rules child protection training module.
